It was also an incredible honor to perform a short set at the Austin Music Hall and share the stage with Austin legends old and new, including Roky Erickson, The Meat Puppets, Billy Gibbons, Bubbly Puppy, Eric Johnson, The Wagoneers, Sahara Smith, Mother Falcon, Speak and many others. Congratulations to all!

The Bright Light Social Hour are proud to announce the release of our new live EP "New Year's Live" available on iTunes this Tuesday, March 8!

Recorded on New Year's Eve 2010-2011 at The Parish in Austin, TX by Danny Reisch, "New Year's Live" features four tracks and three videos from our sold-out party of a live set. The EP will include live versions of album tracks "Shanty" and "Detroit," as well as two previously unreleased covers, "Young Man Blues" (Mose Allison/The Who) and "Mannish Boy" (Muddy Waters). Masterfully directed live videos by Hussain Pirani of "Shanty" and "Young Man Blues" will be released in companion to the EP (also available for iTunes purchase), with a video of "Mannish Boy" to be released during SXSW. Initial release will be digital only - physical release to be announced.
