As much as we're loving the mild Austin winter and a brief stint at home, our feet have begun to itch and our fingers are growing stiff. Worry not, we are readying the steed and shall ride again! Howdy from California HWY 1. We've never been out here before; naturally, we're enthralled by the beauty of the coastal drive. Wild show in Santa Cruz last night (I woke up with a microphone grid imprint on my forehead), and we're now headed down to San Diego before we wrap up this West Coast trip in L.A. and Tucson. 

It's so good to be back in Vaniel Day Lewis (Club VD, for short) and on the West Coast. Ah now we're stuck in L.A. traffic, but Jo is flippin out since we're passing through Pamona, where he grew up. I'm surprised he's only made us eat In-N-Out once so far, he talks about it constantly back home. OK here's some photos from the epic side of the epic road.

Ah so good to be back on the road! This is our first trip out west. We're looking for a man with true grit. And we're very excited about headin out on the American West. We just passed through Happy, TX, headed to Denver to freeze our dicks off (see photo). But! The next morning we fly to Miami for The Stage Anniversary Party before picking back up westward in Reno. This'll be our first time to fly out for a gig, which we're also very excited about, but if we're late don't worry we're probably just getting a little bit cavity searched. The Bright Light Social Hour

We're entering the home stretch of the east coast leg of our tour and just got back from 3 wild days in Toronto. We didn't waste a second, playing 3 shows across Toronto, and we are dang proud to announce that we've teamed up with The Agency Group in Canada for all of our Canadian booking needs! At our first Toronto show at the legendary Horseshoe Tavern, we ran into psych-rock superheroes Portugal. The Man, who just happened to be at the tavern on break from tour and caught the show. We were very pumped to get to know them - total legends - and they imparted much wisdom and whiskey upon us.

We're now back in the States and headed to New York City for CMJ Music Marathon. We'll be at Mercury Lounge Saturday 10/22 with a plethora of killer bands including Black Taxi, The Frontier Brothers, Deadbeat Darling and Fresh Millions.
