After a long summer of camping out in some of Austin's finest recording studios, we have emerged with our first full-length album, simply titled "The Bright Light Social Hour." We would now like nothing more than to celebrate and share it with y'all. Our inaugural record release show will be held at Antone's on Friday, September 17th. We've assembled an outstanding bill with Brass Bed and The Frontier Brothers. Our own Joseph Mirasole will kick off the evening with a DJ set. And, of course, our new record will be available to purchase for the first time. Howdy! If you haven't already heard, The Bright Light Social Hour are hard at work on our 1st ever full-length studio album. We're working with esteemed Indie producer Danny Reisch, and we can't tell you how amazed we are with how everything is turning out. We're currently in the mixing stage, for the first time hearing our songs as masterfully crafted recording pieces we never dreamed could be possible. But don't take our word for it! Have a look at the latest installment of "In the Studio with The Bright Light Social Hour" as Jack's Moustache takes us behind the scenes at Cacophony Recorders, where drum and bass tracks were recorded to analog tape: We are funding this record entirely on our own, and it is because of your generous donations at jacksmoustache.com that we are able to make this record. However, after 7 weeks of grueling and meticulous recording at several high-end studios, we still have a long way to go to meet the forthcoming costs of mixing, mastering, manufacturing, artwork, packaging, replication, distribution, and promotion for the new record.
